What is Caberlin?

Caberlin containing the active ingredient cabergoline is considered a dopamine receptor agonist type of medication. The medication works by reducing the amount of the hormone prolactin that is released in from the pituitary gland. High levels of the hormone in women can cause unwanted breast milk, irregular or missed menstrual periods, bone loss as well as infertility. Men with high levels of the hormone may encounter symptoms such as enlarged breasts and decreased sex drive or performance. Some people may also use it to treat Parkinson’s disease and a type of tumor of the pituitary gland called prolactinoma.

How is Caberlin used?
